Brightlingsea Regent FC are delighted to announce the release of our official away shirt for the next two seasons!
First Team Manager Brett Munyard selected the unique and impressive design by Elizabeth Hewitt, aged 9, which was one of over 140 entries received! Thank you to all of those wonderful designs submitted by our young fans.
The campaign in partnership with our kit supplier O’Neils Teamwear was another opportunity for the club to interact with the local community.
We have to give a huge thanks to Nigel Ingoldsby at Green Planet Fire & Security for fully supporting the project and sponsoring the shirt for the next two seasons.
In addition to the competition, we are also delighted to announce that Brightlingsea Winterfest are represented on the back of the shirt. As a club, we felt that the mission and aims of Winterfest form a vital part of the community and we wanted to help them promote awareness of their Winterfest Wellbeing Fund to boost the physical and mental wellbeing of Brightlingsea Residents.
Alix Sheppard, co-Founder of Brightlingsea Winterfest said ‘We are delighted that Brightlingsea Regent Football Club have literally taken Brightlingsea to their hearts and will be sporting the WinterFest logo on their shirts for the coming season. It has been a pleasure to work with the club in the past and it is such a positive move to build on that great relationship. The club’s community-focused ethos and their well established approach to the healthy benefits of sport fit perfectly with WinterFest’s aim to improve people’s mental, physical and social wellbeing. It is so important for community organisations to work together and we are really grateful that Regent has created this opportunity to link with WinterFest, spreading the word about our annual festival and making the Town’s community spirit even stronger”
When informed of the good news, competition winner Elizabeth said ‘I was a bit surprised & also very happy to win the kit competition. I chose purple because the Regent badge is blue and red and mixing those gets purple! I like watching Regent because it’s a friendly club and I like the singing and the support’
