Rowhedge Juniors U12s 1:2 Brightlingsea Regent U12s

Brightlingsea Regent U12s claimed a really well deserved victory away at Rowhedge Juniors U12s, first half goals from Lindon Berisha and Yusef Aslan sealed the win.

The first half started with Regent playing a slightly new formation 3:2:2:1, the players took to the change straight away, creating a couple of early chances. Rafe Chapman and Sammy Kerr we’re dominating the centre of midfield regularly turning the ball over, on one of these turnovers Rafe played the ball into Alex Hill who in turn played a lovely ball in Lindon Berisha who expertly finished into the top corner. 1:0 Eegent continued to dominate, defensively Zac Levett was as commanding as ever, supported by Billy Wiggins and Dexter Bellhouse. Regent continued to take the game to Rowhedge, another bit of great midfield play from Sammy Kerr with Some good link play involving Billy Wiggins led to Regent going 2:0 up Billy passed into Sammy feet who played a lovely ball through to Yusef Aslan who ran in from the left and finished really well. With literally seconds to goal Rowhedge pulled a goal back out of no where, the ball looked like it was going out of play, but managed to stay in due to the sticky surface, the ball came over and a Rowhedge player brought a brilliant save out of Oscar Finbow, the ball came out to another Rowhedge player who showed great composure to finish in the top corner. The second half started with Rowhedge trying to get the equaliser push Regent back, we managed to stay resilient and comfortably kept the lead in tact, before starting to play some lovely football in midfield with the front 5 really linking up well. Chances came and went for both teams in second half, Oscar Finbow Zac Levett and Alex Hill really excelling at the back while Sammy Kerr Rafe Chapman Billy Wiggins Leo Buabeng Yusef Aslan Freya Hatch Dexter Bellhouse And Lindon Berisha linking up really well and working hard as a unit to keep the lead.

Great result for the U12s who are the only team to beat Rowhedge all season, which we have now done twice.
