Brightlingsea Regent U12s 0:2 Feering Falcons Blues U12s

Brightlingsea Regent U12s lost 0:2 to Feering Falcons Blues in a open game in which both sides had plenty of chances. Feering started the stronger without creating any chances, a few through balls running through to goal keeper Oscar Finbow. The first real chance of the game fell to Regent, with a good build up including The busy Sammy Kerr, Leo and very nearly finished off by Yusef who made the Feering keeper make an outstanding save on to the post. Shortly after hitting the post we conceded the first goal, a hopeful through ball which caught out the Regent back line and goal keeper, Feering simply lifted the ball into the empty net. A few minutes later and Feering got their second from a corner, Regent struggled to clear the ball and some decent play from Feering saw the ball crossed to the back post and headed in. First half ended 0:2

The second half was very even with both sides having chances to add to the score line. Regent gave their all but lacked quality in the final third, they deserved more out of the game. Some players to mention - Sammy Kerr outstanding in the middle of the pitch driving the boys forward, Alex Hill nothing got past him today, Dexter Bellhouse covering at left back was outstanding, Leo Buabeng in his first full game was always looking for little link ups and tracked back many times. The whole team played well. My man of the match was Zac Levett who was outstanding today, defending everything as well as creating a chance in the last few minutes, some excellent free kicks which put us on the front foot.
