Brightlingsea Regent U12s 1:0 Rowhedge Juniors

Brightlingsea Regent U12s claimed a hard fought 1:0 victory after a goal in the 52nd minute.
The U12s went into the game against unbeaten Rowhedge hoping to build on last weeks excellent 2:0 victory over FC Clacton.
The first half was very even with both teams cancelling each other out, Brightlingsea had a few half chances after excellent work in midfield from Samuel Kerr and Yusef Aslan, both Freya Hatch and Lindon Berisha has decent efforts. From a defensive point of view Alex, Zac, Billy and Oscar were well in charge. Rowhedge being caught off side on numerous occasions.

The second again was very even, Rowhedge probably having the better of it, Brightlingsea looking dangerous on the break, Oscar Finbow made a couple of crucial saves to keep the score at 0:0, Brightlingsea were getting back into it and starting to push Rowhedge back then after some battling work from Henry Tither, he laid the ball back to Yusef Aslan who took it inside and unleashed a great shot which the Rowhedge keeper palmed away across the goal, some great striker instincts from Lindon Berisha who followed up and smashed the ball into the back of the net.

The last few minutes were uneventful despite Rowhedge really pushing us back.

A great win for the U12s and fully deserved. Solid and battling performance again.

Man of the match - I picked Yusef Aslan as man of the match but to be fair there were a number of candidates Oscar / Zac / Sammy / Alex and Billy.
