FC Clacton 2:0 Brightlingsea Regent U12s
Brightlingsea Regent U12s suffered their first defeat of the season away to FC Clacton on Sunday.
After a tight first half in which Bailey Barton just missed Brightlingseas best chance after been put clean through with a great pass by Callum Caunter. Goalkeeper Oscar Finbow made a couple of fine saves to keep the score at 0:0.
The second half started in the same vein, tight and chances at a premium, until midway through the second half a bit of sloppy defending gifted FC Clacton the lead, after a ropey 5 minutes Brightlingsea started to push Clacton and a couple of great runs by Callum Caunter one well defended and one very narrowly wide by Freya Hatch. Bailey Barton forced a great save out of FC Clactons keeper, then with 10 minutes to go Clacton put the game out of Regents reach.
The defeat was tough on Brightlingsea with some great performances from Zac Levett, Samuel Kerr and man of the match Callum Caunter.
