BRIGHTLINGSEA gave their survival chances huge boost with a stunning comeback victory over a Horsham side who will wonder how they lost.
The Hornets led with two early goals in two minutes. But the Rs soon levelled with two goals in three minutes and won the game late on.
Four times Regent keeper Charlie Turner kept the hosts at bay in the first 15 minutes, denying Lee Harding, Tom Kavanagh, Gary Chairman and Eddie Dsane.
But even he was powerless to stop Rob O’Toole giving the Hornets the lead when he headed in a Tom Richards corner.
Richards was again the provider for Charlie Hester-Cook to double the lead a minute later.
But it was 2-1 on 21 minutes, when Valter Rocha netted the R’s first shot.
And on 24 minutes, Rocha’s brother, Carlos took advantage of a defensive mix-up to level the scores.
Horsham nearly led again when Will Miles headed against the bar just before half-time.
But Horsham were sloppy in a poor second half and the R’s Sensed a winner., which arrived on 80 minutes, when top scorer Aaron Blair pounced on an error by Hornets keeper Sam Howes and tucked the ball into the empty net.
