Jordan Barnett played 27 league games in his first season at step 3 and impressed along the way with not only his tenacious play but his versatility, Clarence joined later in the season after working really hard to become part of the First Team squad.
Rothery had this to say on two more players being retained from last season “I’ve known Jordan since he joined our Under 18 set up and his still only 21 so there’s a lot more to come from Jordan and he began to show that last season with some mature performances in midfield and when called upon also in defence.”
“He’s tenacious but also has good ability on the ball and last season really cemented a place in the starting team with some excellent performances.”
“Clarence trained with us from September and played for the Reserves and really worked hard to try and get in the squad.”
“Towards the end of the season he achieved this and I feel he deserves the chance to come back and see where he fits in the squad due to his effort, commitment and general endeavour.”
“When he performed for us he did well and kept it simple, linking in play well”
We’re glad to have you both back on board guys.
