R’s Bring In Blackwell

Brightlingsea Regent are pleased to complete the signing of Tom Blackwell from Chelmsford City on loan until the end of the season.

The youngster has been with Canvey Island this season making 8 appearances and playing a part of their fantastic FA Cup run.

Tom was previously with Coggeshall Town since the age of 8 before being snapped up by The Clarets.

Manager Tom Austin was very keen to add Blackwell to his squad, he had this to say on his new recruit, “Tom was the best player i saw at step 5 last season.”

“He got a trial pre season with Chelmsford which they decided to sign him and rightly so.”

“He can play anywhere in the front three, very good with the ball at his feet. Me and salts really can’t wait to work with him he is a very exciting talent.”

The club would like to thank Steve Pitt, Robbie Simpson and Mickey Spillane for allowing us the services of Tom, and we hope to play a part in his development.
