Brightlingsea Regent can officially confirm our schedule for the opening two rounds of the 2026/2027 edition of the Velocity Cup. Formerly the Isthmian Cup, the competition is organised by the Isthmian League and until ten years ago, named after Isthmian League chairman Alan Turvey.

The First Round may be a bit disappointing for match-going supporters, or perhaps amazing for those who fancy a cup run, as we begin the competition with a bye, directly qualifying for the Second Round, in which we are guaranteed a home tie to be played during the second week of October.

Our opponents for the second round will be one of Bowers & Pitsea or Concord Rangers, both fellow Isthmian League North sides with the winner making the trip to North Road. (Likely to occur on either the 13th or 14th of October)

Last campaign, Regent reached the second round of the tournament, eventually being eliminated by Witham Town, suffering a 4-2 defeat at North Road on the 14th of October 2025, despite goals from Jake Clowsley and Luca Terminiello.
