Regent have been drawn away in the cup again this season and face Ryman Premier Division side Billericay Town. Billericay currently sit in 11th position in the Premier Division and were winners of the Essex Senior Cup in 2011. A date for this tie will be posted when known on the website.

Dagenham & Redbridge against Concord Rangers is one of the highlights of the Essex Senior Cup Quarter-Final Draw which was broadcast by competition supporters BBC Essex this evening.

With just one Fourth Round fixture outstanding there are seven teams definitely through from the Ryman League to the Sky Bet Football League. The Daggers, who last lifted the trophy in 2001 and knocked out Waltham Abbey in Round Four, will host the holders Concord, who came through a penalty shootout at home to Grays Athletic at the last stage.

The only remaining last 16 tie sees Redbridge host Canvey Island on Tuesday (16th December). The winners of that clash will earn a home Quarter-Final against 2013 champions AFC Hornchurch. Of additional interest was the local derby generated between Aveley and Thurrock, whose grounds are separated by just over a mile.

The Millers recorded an impressive 3-2 victory over Chelmsford City last time around, while their neighbours secured an equally notable 4-1 success against Vanarama Conference outfit Braintree Town. Billericay Town, the 2011 winners who beat Harlow Town 3-2, entertain one of only two sides remaining to have never reached the final, Brightlingsea Regent.

Ben Fryer from the BBC Essex Sports Team assisted with the draw by pulling the home teams from the bag at the station’s Chelmsford studios, with Essex County FA Chief Executive Phil Sammons responsible for the away clubs. These Quarter-Finals are due to be completed on or before Saturday 24th January.
