Mildenhall Town Match Preview

Mildenhall Town Match Preview

Martin Bright21 Feb - 11:32

UCFB Student Alex Dyer previews today’s match.

Ryan Salter promises that they “will give you everything today” as Brightlingsea look to build on from win!

Following an important win against Walthamstow last week, manager Ryan Salter has claimed that his side will ‘need to be at their best’ against ‘a formidable opponent’ in Mildenhall Town.

The three points pushes Brightlingsea Regent into 12th, on 39 points, whereas Mildenhall are not too far behind on 32 points and sitting in 17th.

Mildenhall have lots of quality in attack, with Sharman and Swift often rotating with each other on and off the bench in games, and contributing to 15 goals combined, something that the Brightlingsea defence will have to be aware of.

Michael Okafor is one of these defenders, and has recently started adding goals to his game as well. Coming back from a spell of injury, he managed to find the net in last week’s win, and looks forward to the second half of the season.

Okafor commented ‘we’re aiming to go on another unbeaten run’ and that in the changing room, ‘they know what they need to do’. This shows the determination and grit that these players have in order to push as high up the table as they can.

Club Chairman Terry Doherty even had his thoughts to share, ultimately saying that “It was a very welcome three points which we can hopefully build on today”.

Overall, the atmosphere around the club seems to be positive ahead of this afternoon's kick off against Mildenhall Town.

Manager Ryan Salter urges each fan to ‘keep getting right behind us and to keep the noise high’ and ultimately, ‘enjoy the game’.
So get down to North Road and support your Regent!
