Ahead of the 2026/2027 season, Brightlingsea Regent are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and confident individual to volunteer as “The Voice of North Road”, the matchday announcer for all first-team fixtures. There are additionally numerous matchday staff volunteer roles available for supporters and local residents.

The time commitment is solely matchday based, varying weekly throughout the season, however, typically it would follow a schedule as follows:
Saturday (3:00pm kick-offs): approx. 1:30pm – 5:00pm
Midweek (7:45pm kick-offs): approx. 6:30pm – 9:45pm
The role encompasses a wide range of matchday responsibilities designed to enhance the experience for supporters and create an engaging atmosphere from start to finish. Some of the duties include announcing the lineups for both sides ahead of kick-off, including substitutions, allowing excitement and across the pre-match period, and providing clear announcements in necessary moments, such as substitutions and additional time.
Additionally, it involves promoting the club's sponsors, sharing important club messages and raising awareness of upcoming events and initiatives within the football club or local area, a catalyst in increasing the club's income sources and community-based impact.
If you have a passion for non-league football, are engaging and personable, as well as being confident speaking in front of a crowd in a clear manner, this role would be well suited to your skills and attributes.
