Brightlingsea Regent are very pleased to announce that Brett Munyard has returned to the club and will take up the hot seat once again after a well needed break away from football.

Munyard will be in the dugout once again this Saturday bringing a new freshness to the club, as we look to initiate a new 3 year plan discussed by the club board, with the ultimate aim to return to step 3 as soon as possible.

Chairman Terry Doherty spoke about the news, “This is a new chapter for Brightlingsea Regent as we head into a new era at the club.”

“This isn’t a u-turn, this is something that’s going to be new, with new ideas, a new style and a fresh start for the club”

“We want stability, and given Brett’s past achievements for us, we feel he is the right man for the job”

“This wasn’t something we were planning on doing at this point in the season, we were looking to execute this plan in the summer, however, events have forced our hand”

“That said, I’m delighted to welcome back Brett. He is a young and hungry manager, with an unbelievable work ethic which fits us perfectly as a club”

“We want to give Brett all the tools he needs to be successful here, and I’m already excited for the future”
