An update on departed players.

An update on departed players.

William Mallard-Smith

A look at the players that have recently left North Road

Over the course of the last couple of weeks, a number of departures have occurred in Ryan Salter's Regent squad. Here is a rundown of all the ins and outs at North Road.

Departures:

Giani Ashley

Giani Ashley joined the R's in the summer from freshly relegated side Heybridge Swifts, with the full-back featuring in eight Isthmian League North games, the last of those coming against Tilbury FC two weeks ago. He leaves the club due to a desire to continue with commitments elsewhere outside of football.

Tom Cottle-Wood

Announced yearlier this week, winger Tom Cottle-Wood departs the R's after eight months at North Road. He joined the R's from Stansted FC in March, featuring occasionally last season, before becoming a main stay in Ryan Salter's matchday squad in recent months, featuring in sixteen fixtures this season.

Dan Rowe

After over a year with the R's, Dan Rowe returned to his previous employer at Little Oakley FC last week, putting an end to a memorable year-long spell at North Road. Overall, Dan bagged twelve goals in a Regent shirt, with the standout of the bunch being the rocket against Newmarket Town in September, which will go down in the Brightlingsea history books!

On a more positive note, we can confirm that both Harry McDonald and Charlie Collis are close to returning to the Brightlingsea Regent matchday squad, with both successfully recovering from their recent injury issues.
