It’s still early days of course, but there’s a big Saturday of action on its way

The BetVictor Isthmian League’s new vehicle leasing partner Vanarama are keeping a very close eye on things with the Vanarama Non-League Watch!

It may be a little cooler outside, but the temperature on the pitch is rising! We’re five matchdays in and already the BetVictor Isthmian Premier Division is shaping up nicely.

But what can we read into the first month of the new season - and what will this weekend throw up as August comes to a close?

There are only two teams left undefeated, one tops the table while the other is knocking on the play-off door. Guess what? They lock horns this weekend!

Folkestone Invicta have started like an express train with four wins and a draw. The goals are already flowing - Alex Jackson has five from open play already, while Jerson Dos Santos has four.

Horsham are the other side yet to taste defeat and they welcome the leaders next - what will give on Saturday?

Hornchurch have also found the net 13 times, the same amount as freescoring Folkestone.

They may not have got one on Bank Holiday Monday, but nine in their previous two means Wingate & Finchley should watch out this weekend.

There’s also another early-season big game coming your way. Haringey Borough, second after another strong start, have a visit from John Coventry’s East Thurrock - the newcomers have three wins to their name already.

Two perhaps unexpected slower starters meet this weekend. Lewes haven’t begun the new season like they would have wanted to.

No wins on the board yet maybe, but we know it’s still early days. They can put that right at Leatherhead - who also haven’t claimed a victory. Will one of them get that first three points on the board?

Jay Saunders’ Margate and Adam Hinshelwood’s Worthing both have six points. They meet at Hartsdown Park looking to climb, while Carshalton’s very healthy start will be given a real examination at Bognor Regis Town.

Enfield Town are unbeaten away from home - on Saturday they take their productive start to the new season to Bowers & Pitsea.

Kingstonian have already let in ten goals. Hayden Bird will want a shut-out as he makes an emotional return to Merstham, who have already won twice under Frank Wilson.

Corinthian-Casuals are also a club looking for that first win. Can they get it at home to Brightlingsea Regent?

Potters Bar have eyes on the play-offs. Could they jump into the top five? Cray Wanderers may have something to say about that.

Bishop’s Stortford are looking for win number three. They welcome Cheshunt, who were unlucky not to beat Corinthian-Casuals on Monday.

The BetVictor Isthmian League’s new vehicle leasing partner Vanarama have recently launched the Club Reward scheme to help fans back their club’s budget. Every time a fan takes out a brand new van lease with Vanarama or a brand new car lease with Mototama their club will earn £100 and you will receive £30 cashback!
