The Rudy Rocha show sinks the Head!

Brightlingsea Regent collected a much needed 3 points with their first win in 14 to condemn basement boys Leatherhead to the foot of the table!

The R’s took the lead after 36 minutes in a tight affair through Rudy Rocha. A superb through ball found Dom Locke off the shoulder of the last defender down the right. His effort was denied well by Harry Cawdown but the rebound fell back to Rudy to slot home into an empty net!

Regent went in at half-time as the dominant side, as the hosts had very little in the way of attempts at the returning Charlie Turners goal.

The R’s doubled their lead after 69 minutes after soaking a series of Leatherhead attacks. Rudy Rocha broke free on the right from a Chris Ribchester pass, produced a wonderful cross to pick out Connor Barnby to volley home unmarked in the box to take the points for Regent!

A serious of attacks from the hosts as they looked to get back in the game were comfortably dealt with by a dogged Regent team!
