Brightlingsea Regent Welcomed the leaders to the Taydal stadium, in a week where Hamlet had been publicised widely In the media with off field troubles surrounding their landlords.
Regent started really bright and perhaps could have been in front early on, Jake Gould showing attacking prowess, getting forward after delivering a deep cross which was met by the head of Terry Amass but he was unable to keep it down and test Corey Addai.
Moments later Regent got the ball in behind to Aaron Condon who tried a lob shot which was unable to beat Addai.
The visitors did however take the lead after half hour, when some good link up play allowed substitute Caio Guimaraes to advance to the edge of the box and stroke home into the bottom corner. 0-1
Moments later Hamlet could have doubled the advantage, a nice neat slide through pass allowed Dipo Akinyemi to get the better of Josh Gould before sliding the ball just past the post!
Regent found a breakthrough and equalised on the stoke of half time. Jake Gould again advancing forward down the left hand side, dummying his man and delivering a cross. This was nodded to the edge of the box only to find Jake Turner to smash on the volley straight into the net. Giving Addai no chance with a contender for goal of the season! HT1-1
Dulwich regained the lead 5 minutes into the second half, The R’s playing out from the back, were caught in possession allowing Akinyemi to steal and creep in on goal and strike home via the post! 1-2
The league leaders continued to create chances without killing the game off.
Brightlingsea only went and found a second equaliser against the run of play. With 10 minutes to go Aaron Condon picked up a loose ball and struck and Exocet into the bottom corner from 35 yards! 2-2! Another outstanding strike!
The game levelled out with the R’s getting a big point against a top side. FT2-2
The R’s can be buoyant from a great performance drawing with the best team in the division!
