Jake Turner on his 100th appearance for the club seals all three points for Regent at home.

Brightlingsea Regent welcomed Dereham Town to North Road looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats in the league albeit sandwiched in between a good cup win and performance. Great news for Webster as he welcomed back Phil Kelly into the squad after sustaining an injury in pre-season. Webster made two changes from the side that lost to Thurrock on Saturday with Lamell Howell and Luke Milbourne replacing Brendon Heath and George Clarke.
An even first half saw neither side really able to create much of note with both defences firmly on top. Regent moved the ball really well on the half an hour mark with a flowing move through midfield that saw the cross into the box defended superbly well to deny the on rushing Jake Gordon. Skipper Matt Cripps then strode forward before crossing into the box which again the away side just managed to clear with the keeper almost back heeling into his net before the ball was cleared. The away side were struggling to create anything of note but did force a few set pieces that were in large comfortably dealt with by Andrew Plummer. A good move down the right for the away side saw a bending effort from the edge of the area wide of the far post. Regent got the decisive lead in a tight game right on half time. Jake Gordon doing well out wide before playing inside where the ball was set back to Jake Turner, Jake on his 100th appearance for the club struck a sweet strike which the keeper could only parry into his far bottom corner for 1-0 on 45 minutes. HT 1-0
Regent started the second half with a better intensity and had the better of the opening 15 minutes without creating much of note. On 63 minutes Webster made two changes with Phil Kelly and Russell Malton coming on for Josh Mayhew and Luke Milbourne. Phil was straight into the action with a strong run and cross met by Lamell Howell but his shot was wide. The away side had changed formation just before half time and were beginning to threaten on the break and one of the breaks saw a shot from the area just fired wide. Once again the returning Phil Kelly did well when combining with Russell Malton and Jake Gordon but his shot was parried by the keeper. The away side went close to an equaliser in the 78th minute when a strike from the left hand side of the area clipped the outside of the post. The away side with changes were looking threatening down the left and a good run and cross was just dealt with by the R's. Webster made his final change on 82 minutes with George Clarke replacing Lamell Howell and George was straight into the play breaking forward and driving into the area but this time Phil Kelly from his pass saw his shot fire over the bar. In injury time Matt Cripps was booked with the free kick being superbly headed away by Josh Gould as Regent gained their first clean sheet of the season to gain all three points. FT 1-0
A tight affair just edged by Regent who bounced back from defeat and now head into the weekend FA Cup game away to Witham Town.
