Another 3 points lost as we struggle in front of goal

We entertained CUFC today who are flying high and having a good start to the season.
With a decent squad to chose from and off the back of a boyed performance in the week against Stanway we were hopeful of turning our downward spiralling league form around.

However yet again 10 minutes into the game we were caught by a ball over the top which split our defence in 2 and they ran on catching mansfield in no mans land to slot home and make it 1-0.

In a fairly scrappy game i dont feel any side really had the upper hand although as we pressed throughout the first half CUFC regularly caught us on the break, there striker the pick of the players with his tireless running.

I can remember us having too many clear cut chances first half as our final ball let us down.

Second half we came out and played much better as CUFC sat in and looked to keep it tight for the 3 points. We had a good 10 minute spell where 2 blocks from there centre halfs kept them with a clean sheet, firstly from Ricky then from Rymer as went close but in the dying seconds as pressure mounted our decision making let us down with our final ball and they easily saw the game out 1-0 winners.

Another fairly poor performance as we seem to struggle to get into gear at the minute.

Lets hope we can turn this form around in what we knew was going to be a difficult first season.

Man of the match this week was Wallis who put in a superb battling performance closely followed by Morley.
Highlights of the day are few and far between at the moment, but one was certainly man mountain L Hughes holding up an entire team one armed during a half time scuffle (good lumber jack gilet hahaha) and Hillys rubbish unpruned face 9since hes moved to london he has let himself go).!!!

Next week away to March and then a tough trip in the cup v Hullbridge sports.

Come on the regent...............
