A good solid performance today as debutant Tevez takes his chance with aplomb!

We entertained London APSA this evening in the Essex Senior cup prelimiary round after there ground was unavailable we luckily had the fixture changed to home and saved us the 70 mile trip through rush hour traffic!!

The big change for the game was in the shape of striker Sauka whow as given a chance after starting the season so well in the reserves.

We started the game brightly and although it was a scrappy affair i think we got on top winning personal battles early on.
We were rewarded early on when Tevez hard work and battling upset there back 4 for the ball to drop kindly to Rymer and he took the ball out of his feet from 18 yards and smashed a ball bedning it into the far corner, awesome finish 1-0.
A mix up at our end then nearly cost us but Hughes got round Griggsy and stopped a certain goal.

As we continued to grow in confidence the chances came thick and fast, from a Schofield corner jake Holman failed to convert having a scrambled effort cleared off the line and a Rymer long range effort was then spilled by the keeper and Tevez following up smashed straight at keeper.

We made it 2 however when Hard work and dogged determination from Rymer won the ball out on the right who played Tevez into the channel and Tevez got his head up to square Sam Holman on the edge of the box who calmly jinked back inside and smashed past the keeper to make it 2 in 3 for him and 2-0.

2 became 3 shortly after when Tevez was denied from close range afte rhis pace found him in one on one but Rymer picked up the ball out on the right and drove insiode before unleashing a 20 yard strike with his lefty benson hitting the right post and then the left and rolling into the net (average strike). so 3-0 half time and a much better performance.

Second half was much the same however we did take our foot of the gas slightly and became lazy with our work rate as we tired following 120 minutes Saturday also.
2 goals in the second half, firstly Tevez running in behind there back 4 to be brought down in the corner and win a penalty, Rymer stepping upand sending the keeper the wrong way for his hat trick and then sub Hilly going by 3 and showing great pace to get to the byline to square back to Rymer with an open goal to tap in for his 4th and make it 5-0.
So we ran out 5-0 winners with a decent performance which was much needed after Saturday's.
Highlights of the evening including Beardo thinking the team we played were called London ASDA hahaha, Rymers new beard (see photo on website) haha and Tash managing to last a hole game without changing her outfit!!
