Harvey Hodd becomes first summer signing for the R’s

Brightlingsea Regent have made their first summer signing with the capture of Harvey Hodd on a one year contract.

Harvey played against the R’s last season for Lowestoft Town and scored in the New Year’s Day game at Crown Meadow.

Harvey who came through Norwich City academy as a scholar was also a professional at Fleetwood Town for two years before signing at Lowestoft Town where he had previously been loaned too from Fleetwood.

Regent Manager Tom Rothery was delighted to capture the signature of Harvey “ Harvey has a good pedigree clearly having been at Norwich Academy and then becoming a professional at Fleetwood Town so has great experiences also to bring to the team.

He’s 22 and I feel his technical ability can add something to the team and the fact that he played at this level in the past two seasons is another plus for me.

Hopefully Harvey is somebody that we can develop alongside the team and he’s still ambitious and hungry to progress with his football so in signing Harvey we get a player that still has massive potential to grow and produce his best football for Brightlingsea Regent.

He scored seven goals in the Division last season so we are also bringing more goals into the team which is important and I feel Harvey will bring more creativity into the squad also.

The things that have been clear to me in the conversations I’ve had with Harvey are what a sound young man he is and how professional and ambitious he is.

I believe Harvey is a signing that the supporters can be excited about and strengthens the squad which for me is essential as we move into our second season at step three”.

Regent will have more announcements over the next few days with expected in’s and out’s.
