Brightlingsea Regent are delighted to announce the return of Aaron Condon

Azza’ returns to the R’s after leaving the club in the summer to join Coggeshall Town.

Condon spent two seasons with the Regent and was a huge part of the club winning promotion to the Bostik Premier Division In 2016-17

Over two seasons, Aaron scored an impressive 51 goals in 103 appearances

Manager Tom Rothery added “It was disappointing to lose Aaron in the summer and the circumstances around it.

Losing James and Aaron who were important players last season was a blow and I think our goals for shows that we need more options in attacking areas and somebody of Azza’s quality isn’t easy to find, the fact he knows the players, club and the staff and me makes it an easy fit.

I think it’s an exciting signing and somebody I know will help us improve in the final third of the pitch so I’m delighted we’ve been able to get him back in the building and the fact he comes back as our 12th man signing shows what the supporters think of the signing, I know they will be delighted he is back in the red and black of Regent as I am and the players are already buzzing about him coming back to us too.”

Unfortunately we have to announce two players leaving the club, Terry Amass has opted to hang up his boots due to family commitments and Milo Grimes has departed for Stanway Rovers on a short term loan.

“TJ has found the commitment needed at this level increasingly hard and because of this getting back into the team also becomes harder when you can’t commit so it’s unfortunate but I really appreciate everything he has done for the club in his two spells and last season when I brought him back he did exactly what I wanted him back for so it’s with sadness but huge appreciation to TJ for his contributions to Regent.”

“Milo has gone to Stanway on loan initially for a month and I feel at the moment this is good for his development.

The physical nature of the Essex Senior League will help him in this area of the game and he has shown the ability he has in his short time with us but at 19 he still needs to gain experience and starting games at Stanway will help him rather than currently gaining minutes here and there with us.”

We wish both players the very best and thank them for their efforts in a Regent shirt.
