Keys extends, Amass returns and Bradbrook replaces Palmer.

Brightlingsea Regent have made two additions before the weekends game at home to Margate with TJ Amass returning to the club and James Bradbrook also signing for the R’s.

R’s Manager Tom Rothery was pleased with his latest dealings.

“TJ approached me a few weeks ago about returning to the club and came training and I think he’s a great addition for us, he understands the club and was really keen to get back involved.

He’s always been a really good athlete and technically sound so I think those attributes plus his experience will prove to be a really good squad addition for us.

James Bradbrook is a goalkeeper I’ve worked with before and he’s a really great lad, he’s professional and always looking to improve himself. I spoke to Wilks (Richard Wilkins Needham Market Manager) and he said he was available till the end of the season and I think it’s a good time for us to take him and I think he will again add something to us.

He’s played at this level and whenever he’s played for me before at Needham he’s brought a calmness to the team and despite his relatively young age (20) he’s a really mature performer, very calm, controlled and reliable.

I’ve also been able to extend the work experience loan of George Keys from Colchester United which I’m really pleased about.

He’s trained really well with the team and shown that defensively he’s very sound, I felt he was excellent Saturday away at Folkestone and has done well in the month he’s been with us so hopefully his time will continue with us for the foreseeable but at least for the next month.

Lastly unfortunately Harry Palmer’s time at the club has come to an end and it’s never easy to come to that decision but it was one that I felt was the right time sadly.

Harry has been extremely professional in his time at the club and I wish him all the best with his future in football.

Thanks to Wilks at Needham FC and Colchester United for their help in getting the players signed.
